My partner ran into a problem with his Air Conditioner and we had contacted this place prior to get a quote on how much they charge for labor in order to put brakes that we have already purchased. They were really fast in contacting us back via Yelp Messenger, and we got a quote of $100 per axel to put on brakes. So if we had done both front and back it would've costed $200 for labor. But we only had to do the back brakes and we had already purchased our own equipment. We derped. We bought the right rotors but didn't realize that the brake parts for the back brakes were different than the ones we purchased. They didn't upcharge us much, and sold us a ceramic brakes a little above market price, but it was definitely easy and they told us before hand to get a confirmation whether we were okay with going forward with the project. The brakes however ended up being squeaky, as if they were always continuously braking. We called them a day later and they were really professional and set our brakes right. We unfortunately ran into a problem with our A/C. We diagnosed the problem ourselves and deduced that it was the AC blower motor, but to be sure we had them do their diagnostic. They charge $100 for a diagnostic test but reduce it to $49 if you go forward with the actual fix. They were upfront about their costs and they were really professional. Honestly, I'm new to the New Orleans area and I'm pretty skeptical of a lot of places. This place was honest and they were really professional and didn't charge an insane amount of money to set our vehicle right. The only thing I could comment on is that none of the staff are wearing masks. But to each their own, I personally did not mind. I highly recommend them!

Super fast (but thorough!) diagnosis, very upfront and honest about what's going on. They will actually test drive your car on a highway instead of a city street to REALLY get an assessment. Additionally, everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. Didn't feel intimidated or belittled at all as a non-car person. Save yourself the time, stress, and MONEY and go here.

I went to Nola automotive for an out-of-state vehicle pre-purchase inspection. They handled it with grace and integrity and prevented me from buying a car that would have cost me a lot more money down the road. Grateful.

I had a wonderful experience here! I emailed requesting a quote for A/C repair and oil change and received a prompt reply from Blake on the next business day. The quote was detailed and informative. When I came in to bring my car I was met with a nice lady who immediately helped me and explained everything that they would be doing to repair my A/C. My car was ready in less than 3 hours and the total price stayed true to the quote. I am happy to have found my new go-to auto repair mechanic!

I have always described Nola is that I have never had to bring my vehicle back for the same problem. It is always fixed right the first time. That is important to me. As usual, the work is done timely and efficiently. Done right the first time every time... As we know not all repairs are created equally!

Everything I need in a car repair service shop is right here. It also happens to be conveniently located near my house. First time I went there, I had my car engine for a tune-up. I was so impressed of the work that they do! Thank you for keeping my car in tip top shape!

The technicians did an awesome job on my car engine. They followed their process down to the letter and I loved the results!

UPDATE: I have changed my review to five stars after speaking with the owner. Shortly after I posted my initial review the owner reached out to me about what had happened. He kindly offered to do the diagnostic on my truck for free, and came to my house to pick up the truck so that I would not need to go out of my way on a busy day. He fixed what he could and delivered the truck back to me. He waived all the fees and spoke to me at length about what had happened. He was incredibly positive and gave me some resources for other automotive shops that may be better suited to deal with a truck of this age. I appreciate his candor, quick response, and general good vibe. THANK YOU! They get two stars because the first time I used them I had a good experience. I recently brought my truck into the shop because it had broken down unexpectedly. When I went to drop the vehicle off I stated that the car had broken down. I was unsure of what the issue was and that at the least it certainly needed a tune up. This was on a Wednesday. I was told I would be contacted Friday about picking up the vehicle. I was contacted and told the vehicle was ready. I asked if they had found the issue and was told they had cleaned the carburetor and replaced the spark plugs. I picked up the vehicle drove it home. The next morning it broke down on me with the exact same issue I had brought it in for. I left a voicemail about this knowing they would not be open until Monday. Monday morning I was not called back from my voicemail so i called them. I was told because I had not used the word “diagnostic” when I dropped the car off that they had only done a tune up. Apparently they will not search for an issue unless you use this language. I was told that the fault rested with me because I had not asked for a “diagnostic test”. When I dropped the vehicle off I described in detail the issue I was having. Suggested what a I thought it might be, but apparently dug my own grave by saying it needed a tune up. The receptionist was little to no help and was unapologetic about the miscommunication. I will not be using a mechanic that needs me to use coded language and doesn’t listen to what the customer is communicating. I am not a mechanic and by saying I don’t know what’s wrong is admitting I need help. Very frustrating experience.

Cars aren’t cheap and no one really like having to do maintenance. That’s why finding quality work for a good price is so important. At NOLA you get it all. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable and get the work done right and fast. I doubt you’ll find a better spot than NOLA.
