I found the part online for literally half the price and had someone else do the repair and they charged $750 for other parts and labor. We are constantly taking in customers at a first-come, first served basis and have a fast turn-around on repairs. We do not claim to be the shop where a person can get the cheapest repairs. We use an industry respected national labor guide for looking up labor times, and we use trusted local aftermarket vendors and dealerships that supply our parts. These parts vendors provide us with that 12 month/12,000 mile warranty that we can pass on to our customers, so we cannot just buy parts from just anywhere, especially online. The parts vendors set the price of the parts, not us. If customers want to obtain cheaper parts, we allow that, where many shops don't, but no warranty would be provided by us. This customer had a choice, and made it, which worked for them. Great! What was not great was that instead of being happy and moving on, this customer went out of his way to criticize our small, locally owned business, that is truly trying our best to help anyone who walks in our door, for not being the cheapest.
