These people over charged me . They charged me $1077 for changing 6 spark plugs and 1 ignition coil . This business does not deserve any stars at all !!!! They do not know what their doing !! They told me i needed a coil for cylinder 3 and after the job was done i picked my car up and drove off and noticed i was having the same problem so i called them back asap and took my car back then they say something went wrong another Ignition coil in cylinder six is bad . Now why didnt that show up the first time when they ran the testing 🤔 these people are gonna rip any customer off . Whoever owns this business should put a better team in place and i mean fire everyone !!! They put old parts on my car and didnt want to refund my money . Customers beware I am warning you !!!!!!DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

This customer is not being truthful about what happened. He did not pay $1077 for just 6 spark plugs and one ignition coil replacement. Neither did we use old parts. We don't have the room to store old parts, plus we remove bad parts, so we would not reuse them. Last Tuesday, this customer came in and asked us to change his spark plugs because his vehicle was misfiring. He came in with an Auto Zone diagnostic scan printout that had codes for a general misfire and a misfire on cylinder 3. I asked him if he wanted us to perform a diagnostic, and he said no. I told him he may need an ignition coil also. He still wanted only the spark plugs replaced. While our tech was replacing his spark plugs, he found that the valve cover gasket and the spark plug tube seals were leaking oil. The spark plugs were coated with oil. I immediately called and texted the customer to tell him this, but he did not answer. He called back a few hours later, I told him about the leaks, gave him an estimate, plus I asked him to let our tech perform a diagnostic since the vehicle was still misfiring after we changed the plugs. He finally agreed to the diagnostic. Our tech did a diagnostic which showed a Cylinder 3 misfire code. Our tech switched the cylinder 3 ignition coil with the cylinder 1 ignition coil, connected the scan tool, and it showed that the misfire was now on Cylinder 1, and no longer on Cylinder 3. That proved that the ignition coil was bad. I called the customer told him what we found and gave him the estimate including the ignition coil. The customer agreed to these repairs. The following morning, our tech did the work, cleared the codes and test drove it. The Check Engine light did not come back on and the vehicle no longer had a misfire. The customer picked up his vehicle later that afternoon. Before he left, I showed him his old oil covered spark plugs. The customer called us a little later and said that his vehicle felt like it was starting to misfire again, so he brought it to Auto Zone to get the codes. He said it showed the same codes but also showed a Cylinder 1 misfire. I told him to bring his car back as soon as he was able. He brought it back the next day. Our tech hooked up our scan tool and it showed no active codes. Our tech test drove his car, and it was not misfiring. The customer left with his car. The following Monday morning, the customer brought in his car again saying it was misfiring, that he had the codes read at his work, and that it had the same codes. He was very angry with us and said we were scamming him. We asked him to let the tech check it out again. We explained to him that he may have another ignition coil that has gone bad, especially since he did have oil leaking on them for who knows how long, before our repairs. The tech scanned for codes and it showed that there was a misfire on cylinder 6. The tech verified that the ignition coil was bad, I did an estimate and called the customer. He did not answer, so I texted him the scan results and an estimate. He called later and was furious, calling us scammers, saying that we did not fix his car and was making threats against us. I kept explaining to him how we cannot predict what is going to fail next on a vehicle, that we can only fix what is obviously broken through a visual inspection, what the car's computer tells us through codes and other testing methods/equipment. I told him he was no longer welcome to bring his car here again because we do not feel comfortable working on his car after his accusations and threats against us. He came by later and spoke with another service writer who hooked up a scan tool and showed him the codes. The customer then seemed to understand what was going on with his vehicle, we told him to bring the vehicle to another reputable shop and see what their diagnosis is. He called back today saying he brought it to Firestone, but gave us no documentation nor explanation as to what repairs were needed.

After another local mechanic gave me a misdiagnosis and an insane quote for the work (which would not have solved the problem) I decided to take my car to NOLA Automotive for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. They were kind and patient on the phone when I was incredibly stressed, found the actual problem quickly, and they did amazing work at a more than fair price. The owner even helped me transfer my personal belongings from my old car to my new one and took off my old plates for me just because he is a nice guy. They saved me hundreds of dollars and were genuinely lovely to work with. Can't say enough good things. I will never take my car anywhere else.

Thank you for the review, Bette! We work hard to give all our customers a great experience and quality service at NOLA Automotive Repair. We're happy to hear we have earned your trust, and we look forward to seeing you next time!

We were traveling from out of town and they were able to get us in very fast and for pretty cheap. We had a piece dragging on the bottom of the car that came unattached when we hit a bump and they took it off and checked over everything else for us all for $30, which was much less than their original quote. It only took about 30 minutes total. Definitely recommend!

Hannah, thank you for your kind words and great rating of our team at NOLA Automotive Repair! We are always happy to help with any of your automotive needs, and we look forward to having you back in the future!

My car now performs better than the day I bought it. Excellent service. This service is exceptional in its flexibility. Incredibly approachable; the only drawback to your success is that you're likely to be really busy, but it's worth it.

We here at Nola Automotive are happy you are pleased with our work. thank you for the Review
